Customers Questions
Question;
Will the R54 kit fit my 4mm bath screen.
Answer;
Aqafix R54 5mm Bath Screen Seal is designed for 5mm Bath screens It will push onto 4mm glass and hold itself in place albeit it is not an especially good fit (as it is designed for 5mm glass).
However depending on the tolerance (i.e. 4mm and a thou or not as the case may be) the R54 may well do the job if fitted to the glass with silicone and left in situ, however if the screen is to be moved the friction caused by movement against the bath rim will cause it to dislodge.

Question;
Does the R54 kit come with 3 different flaps.
Answer;
No, it is one a piece seal, the flap shown in the picture is attached and there are no addition flaps with this seal.

Question;
Will the Aqafix 6mm Universal kit fit my 4mm bath screen (Added 6.6.2007 No Longer Available see note below).
Answer;
Aqafix 6mm Universal Kits are designed for 6mm glass bath screens It will push onto 4mm glass and hold itself in place. It will not however be an especially good fit (as it is designed for 6mm glass).

Question;
What happened to the Aqafix 6mm Universal Kit that came with 3 different length flaps.
Answer;
Unfortunately the manufacturers without any consideration or consultation with their largest customer for this product have withdrawn it and replaced it with a single seal kit (shown above I54LV)
Question (asked 20.7.2008);
We ordered an "Aqafix R62" as a replacement for the above which we received on 9/1/2008 and fitted it within a couple of weeks of that date. Unfortunately it is now starting to split. We feel that this does seem to be a very short period of time since its fitting to now start splitting. We assume you will send us a replacement.
Answer;
We will not send a replacement out without seeing the old seal.
Can you let me know what make of screen you have so I can make sure you have the correct seal.
If the make of screen is not unknown (as in lot of cases) then the seal you have is not strictly speaking the correct seal but probably the nearest that you could find that would fit.
If this is the case the reality is that the seal has probably been subjected to stress that it was not designed to withstand.
